FUMISTE CANDLES — THE TRACE OF FIRE AND MATTER

THE AESTHETICS OF TRANSFORMATION

The MAD et LEN fumiste candle collection explores a material shaped by fire.
Each piece bears the imprint of a slow transformation, where the surface densifies, shifts, and develops a patina.

Fumiste is not an effect, but a memory.
It inscribes within the material a dark, vibrant depth — almost mineral.

MATERIALS & PROCESS : GESTURE AND TIME

Each candle is handcrafted in France, following a controlled process where fire plays an essential role.

Fumiste surface and living patina:
The work of fire reveals unique nuances, between shadow and light. Each piece develops a singular, unpredictable texture, marked by the passage of flame.

100% natural vegetable wax:
Made from soy wax, it ensures a slow, clean burn and a faithful diffusion of the fragrance compositions.

Cotton wick:
Carefully adjusted, it guarantees a stable, quiet flame, preserving the balance of the air.

OLFACTORY ARCHITECTURE : BETWEEN SHADOW AND LIGHT

Fumiste candles extend the sensory experience through two contrasting signatures:

Figue Noire:
A dense, velvety fig, almost liqueur-like. Its dark pulp blends with woody and subtly fumiste accents, evoking a deep, enveloping warmth.

Thé sichuan:
A more aerial composition, where the freshness of tea is altered by smoky nuances. A subtle tension between clarity and obscurity, between infusion and ember.

Through the fumiste material, fragrances gain depth.
They anchor themselves, slowly diffusing, shaping an intimate and lasting atmosphere.

REUSE & PERMANENCE

MAD et LEN candles are designed to endure.
Once the wax is consumed, the material remains.

The vessel becomes an autonomous object:
a decorative piece, a raw container, a fragment of matter to be kept.

Each trace left by the flame extends the life of the object.
