Conservation
Essential oils are sensitive to UV rays and the gradual evaporation of their constituents. It is therefore imperative to store your essential oils in a sealed, colored glass bottle at a temperature between 5 and 40°C.
Precautions
- Internal therapeutic use reserved for the therapist.
- Always keep essential oils out of reach and out of sight of children.
- When handling essential oils, avoid any contact between the oils and your hands with the eyes. In case of accidental spray, rinse immediately and thoroughly with water. Quickly consult a doctor or doctor if the condition persists.
- Use essential oils with moderation and caution. They are very powerful.
- Essential oils are not used pure on the skin as a rule, it is necessary to use them Dilute in your preparations by respecting the recommended maximum dosages. Dose your essential oils using the pipette.
- Essential oils should not be used in products intended for application on the eye contour or mucous membranes. Essential oils should never be applied to the eyes, ears or nose.
- Essential oils can be irritant or sensitizing on some skin. We recommend that you always test your elbows at least 48 hours before use for skin tolerance. If you notice a reaction (redness, irritation, itching...), do not use the product.
- Palmarosa essential oil contains the following compounds listed as allergens by the European cosmetic regulation: GERANIOL, LINALOL, CITRAL, FARNESOL, LIMONENE.
- Generally speaking, do not use essential oils for pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with epilepsy, hypersensitive people or those with hormone-dependent cancer, and more generally those with health problems. Unless otherwise advised by a doctor, do not use essential oils in babies and children under 7 years of age.
- Injections of essential oils are strictly prohibited.
- In case of respiratory allergies or asthma, avoid inhaling the essential oil diffuses directly.
- Do not combine essential oils with medication without medical advice.
- Consult a doctor for any therapeutic indication or oral treatment. Essential oils should be diluted on a food-grade oil, honey, sugar or neutral tablet for oral use. If you have any doubts or questions, do not hesitate to ask your doctor for advice.
- In case of accidental ingestion, swallow or have several spoonfuls of vegetable oil to dilute the essential oil, contact a poison control center and consult a doctor. Do not make vomiting.
- Clay tends to potentiate the penetration and irritancy of essential oils. On sensitive or reactive skin, it is advisable to avoid the use of essential oils in clay masks.
